ART DECO REVIVAL

 Coming back from the 20's to 2012 art deco never looked so good. The movement from the twenties has come back in its best shape by the hand of a variety of designers from which I’ll like to highlight: Gucci, it’s their 90^th birthday (born on 1921) and Frida Giannini went all about the 20’s keeping hot trends such as mesh and animal prints although she introduces lots of sparkle and fine fringe which assembles flapper style.

A la vuelta de los años 20 hasta 2012 art deco nunca se vio tan bien. El movimiento de los años veinte ha vuelto a aparecer en su mejor forma de la mano de una gran variedad de diseñadores de la que me gustaría destacar: Gucci, que es su cumpleaños número 90 (nació en 1921). Frida Giannini se inspiro en los años 20, manteniendo tendencias tales como las trasparencias, estampado de animales asi mismo presenta brilloy flecos que reúnen el estilo flapper.

Algo muy difícil de superar es la primera edición de Viva Glam por Lady Gaga y espero ansiosamente la segunda edición a la venta en febrero.

Soy consciente de que el Sr. Lagerfeld introdujo estos en la colección crucero de 2009 pero son encantadores.

Inspired by... Gucci Fall/Winter Collection

So I know it’s kind of late to talk about fall winter 2011 collections since the year it’s coming to its end but I have to admit I am obsessed with python and fur which were both very present at Gucci's fall/winter 2011 collection. For this collection Frida Giannini is inspired  by 1940's glam and recreates this with jewel like colors, straight lines vs silky movements, the hat (one of the greatest comebacks) is present, big silky bows, wool, leather and last but not least fur and python. For sure this was a great collection at Milan's Fashion week.

Así que sé que es un poco tarde para hablar acerca de las colecciones otoño invierno 2011 ya que el año está llegando a su fin, pero tengo que admitir que estoy obsesionada con el pitón y piel presentes en la colección otoño / invierno 2011 de Gucci. Para esta colección de Frida Giannini está inspirada en el glamour de 1940 y recrea esto con colores inspirados en las joyas, las líneas rectas vs los movimientos de la seda, el sombrero (uno de los mayores regresos) está presente, grandes moños de seda, lana, cueros y pieles por último pero no menos importante el python. Puedo asegurar que esta fue una gran colección en la Seman de la moda en Milan.

La premiere fois

So excited to start a blog I claim mon premiere post as the first of many to come. I had the idea of starting a blog from time ago I even started it but never updated it or tried at least but this time let’s say it’s different ill try to make it my diary as I discover every day what the art/fashion world has to offer me. It’s kind of challenging to start a blog in the context I live in since the city isn’t so big and it’s kind of limited the artistic world in it, but I think it’s a challenge that totally worth it and why not say it will also help to explore more the local art scene. 

So let's begin!

Muy feliz de poder empezar mi blog, declaro esta la primera entrada de muchas por venir. Desde hace tiempo he tenido la idea de empezar mi blog y hasta lo hice pero nunca lo actualizaba o intentaba pero esta vez es diferente ya que hare de este blog una especie de diario en donde mostrare todo lo que el mundo de la moda y el arte tiene para ofrecerme. Es un poco difícil iniciar un blog en el contexto en que vico ya que es una ciudad pequeña donde la escena artística no es muy amplia sin embargo tiene mucho que ofrecer, el reto de ahondar en la moda  local es algo interesante y que estoy dispuesta a hacer.
